About the Project

Reroot Pontiac is a nonprofit organization that transforms blighted areas into interactive educational spaces that increase environmental awareness. Our goal is to develop an interest in environmental interactions, foster a deeper appreciation of nature, and become aware of the complex human-environmental relationships that shape our ecosystem.
Background
As a fast-growing nonprofit organization, I joined Reroot Pontiac as a marketing intern with the objective of developing a social media strategy that would increase the company's visibility, improve their social media engagement across platforms, and subsequently strengthen their relationship between donors, volunteers, and corporate sponsors.
My role
As lead marketing intern, I initiated and implemented a social media and marketing strategy that would increase brand awareness, build an engaged community, and attract volunteers and donors. Specifically, I performed the following duties:
